8 hours of peace & quiet away from the kids = priceless Went to Pike County, PA over the weekend, fished Lake Wallenpaupack & Shohola Lake - This is God's way of telling you its time to get off the water.... Lake Shohola, much shallower, lots of vegetation, lots of dropoffs, more my style of lake...lost 4 fish on this lake this morning, 2 on the Scum Frog See what I mean about 'bluebird skies' ?

If I don't laugh I'll cry, LOL. I can't complain, I'd been getting out A LOT lately, it just stinks that each time I always hit the day after a front, and the fishing sucks. Oh well.

It does give me a good idea for a blog article... "Post-Front Tales of Woe & Desperation"...

I made it out for about 15 minutes this weekend in between other happenings and managed a couple of smallies (2lbs) and a small Northern. Neglected pictures of the fish and the lake. Ted, thanks for pictures of the lakes. They are beautiful. Ps. I love the avatar as well.

Maybe I can get a side job selling my lake pictures for motivational posters or some crap I try not to take myself too seriously, hence the jab at myself regarding my new title. I have to agree, not getting out is even worse. I have to admit I was lost on the new lake, definitely not my style of fishing The 2nd lake I had 4, lost two in the weeds on Senkos, and the other two I pulled the Scum Frog right out of their mouths

Those pictures you take ARE really good so you should at least give yourself a pat on the back. They make me want to quit all the crap I'am doing at home and go fishin'

Well Ted, I had similar luck. Entered 2 sm bass tournys this weekend. Caught a nice 18" one but 1st and 2nd place were 18 3/4 and 3rd was 18 1/2. Missed $500 by 3/4"!!! On Sunday never caught a keeper and finished 18 th out of 18. Theres words for days like these but I wont use them here !!! By the way, I caught the 18" on a 5 cm silver rapala.

Those Lakes look great ! Where in PA are they? Shohola Falls, Pike County, not far from Milford...about an hour away from where I am in NJ.

And of course, today (mostly cloudy) and tomorrow (overcast, rain later in the day) are the perfect fishing days...and I have to work...

Hey Ted, Maybe the fish out in your neck of the woods are picture shy. They could all have a phobia of the camera.
