My cousin came up from Florida for the week and we decided to go bass fishing on the river and the little "bayous" on the river. It was the first time he fished up here and I caught something I never knew was in these little lakes. It was cold and rainy but an overall enjoyable day on the water....until the livewell quit working 
Here are some of the fish we caught before it quit working.
My first smallmouth on this particular lake.
It was a pretty nice smally. This is the first I have ever seen anywhere close to where we were fishing. A very nice surprise for the day.
These lakes are very warm and weedy.
