A buddy of mine and I hit a golf course back on Sunday. This golf course that I fish used to be all farmland years ago and still has the original farm ponds. We moved around from pond to pond while I played mostly with a F9 GFR and my buddy was throwing mostly worms. I was into it pretty soon while my buddy wasn't catching anything. I was twitching the F on the surface and had tons of bluegills tapping it other than catching 5 largemouths (6", 11", 9", 11.5", 7"). I wasn't having any more luck as we made our way back to the car before it started raining pretty good. My buddy ended up cathing 5 bass around the same size on a 4" pumpkinseed Berkley.

Ahhhh golf course ponds. I never fished the sloughs that were on my home course, but have kill a great many deer on it.

This golf course is where I first started to get into catching the pigs and relying on Rapala. I have caught a total of 5 monster bass which include my personal best and 4 on my favorite lure the SSR. My PB was very fat and had a length of 22" by a girth of 20.5" rounded it out to around 8 pounds. Caught that beast on a SSR7 P.
