Hey fellas! It's about 1:10 am local time, and we're getting ready to go fishing. We'll take off at about 3:30 and reach the lake somewhere between 4:45 and 5 am. We'll be here by dinner time, I'll post some photos, hopefully of some fish! ;D See ya guys! John

I here ya John,I think sometimes packing up for a fishing trip is just as fun as the trip itself You're absolutely right muskiehunter, there's a zen thing to it... It calms me down Too bad the trip was horrible (too hot, and my little French car hasn't got aircon), the fishing was horrible - the only things that got near the bait were too small to bite it and I lost the biggest fish I've ever felt pulling my rod because I failed to hook'em right with the Husky Jerk and he got loose after the first jump - I fell on some rocks, hurt my leg and arm and I'm now dead tired. Absolutely loved it. It's better to have gone fishing and got it out of my system than to dream about it every break I take from work. I'll go again when it gets cooler... On the plus side, I haven't lost any Rapalas this time! I'll post a video and a few pictures tomorrow... Too tired now

that's really dedication Thanks walter! But really, it was just a matter of convienience... Since fridays are murder where I work, usually I don't even have the strength to go out and have a pint with my mates... So I sleep from 9 pm to like noon on saturday. Since this was one of those days, we might as well stay up.

I think I can speak for everybody on that.I hate those days when nothing goes right at work. It should be an International rule that when days like that arise everybody should be allowed to go home grab their fishing tackle and go FISHING and say piss on work

How hot is it there around this time of year?

Well, down south where we have most reservoirs the temperatures reach 104 degrees quite easily, somedays even reaching 113... The days are very hot and muggy. But fortunately, since we have an atlantic/mediterranean kind of weather, fall tends to be soft untill november. So better days will come! I can't wait for those cool morings that develop into brilliant fishing days. Not too hot, not too cold... Just right!
