I don't know if anyone else has any of them, but so far I've managed to break a couple of them fairly easily. One was a Long Cast rod, and the other was a Sportsmen model. Pretty disappointed in both... It's a shame because they really do feel good in the hand, but apparently they don't seem to be made real well...

I have two of them, one long cast and the other a sportsman classic spinning. I have yet to use them as the ice is still on the lakes. I hope i'm not dissapointed. I wonder who actually makes them?

The rods feel great in the hand, I;m just not sold on the quality just yet.
I managed to break a couple just trying to get unsnagged, hope people have better luck than me...

I have one of the Rapala Ice Rods(Medium) and its just a well manufactured rod. Used it to ice some nice lakers this winter. I've never used their open water rods but may buy one in the future if I hear good things.

Well, that's it! I broke another Rapala rod this weekend, and I am never buying another one! This time it happened after a bass ran off with my worm under a brush pile. After trying to just snap the line because the water was over 20 feet deep, the damn rod broke before the line did. Peices of junk, I will never buy another!

Sorry to hear such bad things Sadly, when a company thats good at one thing dips into another field they often don't perform to the quality one expects(atleast at first). Thanks for the heads up on the rods. Don't think I'll be buying one, unless I buy one for display only. ;D I'll put a warning on it that states "For display only - Not for catching fish" Fish you've got mail. Shane

Yea it's a damn shame too because they were one of the most comfortable rods I had ever owned. I have not used the Tournament Series rods, but I am not going to shell out of 39.99 just to break another one...
