I haven't been on the boards for awhile so I'm not sure if this is old news or not, but I was in a Bass Pro shop the other day and saw what appeared to be over sized replicas of Rapala lures in over sized Rapala lure boxes.
They are approx 2 to 2-1/2 ft long in various color patterns that match the originals perfectly. I believe they are Rapala originals with 2 or 3 treble hooks with rubber tubes covering each hook. Very Cool!! A must for the Rapala enthusiast.
I thought it might have been a new item because Bass Pros was dis paying them in areas that get allot of attention.
They were priced at 39.99 and looked like they were well made.
Heddon had a similar over sized torpedo lure for 49.99.
I thought they were pretty cool and thought I would pass it along to see if anyone else has seen these display lures.

Oh yeah, they have been around for a little while. I agree that they seem to be pretty nice in their display boxes. I just wish they had a plastic lid and a hanging tab, would have pushed them over the top for me, but since they don't I only bought 1 of each (RH, S, RT, FT).
Edited to add: I was fortunate however to find them in their original "Made in China" carboard boxes they were shipped in from overseas. They are 2 to a case. I think this sets the record for Rapala for fewest lures in a case. I remember the classics coming 12 to a case. Now 6 is what you find on most models.

Yeah just recently I had seen them firsthand for the first time in a Sports Authority just last week; I'd always seen them on ebay but they are way nicer in person. ;D So I told my wife I either want the Original or FireTiger for Fathers Day...she just looked at me like this ====> Whats an Original Fire -Thingy? And I was just like ===>
