Ever get home from a long day at work to find that your wife has spent the whole day shopping. you get that ball in the pit of your stomach, what could she have been buying. well, its not always as bad as you might think. careful guys, she already taken. i dont even care about anything else she might have bought today. i would have really like a few giant DT's, but ill just have to be happy with a boat load of dt6,10,and16's. bacon luckiest guy ever

The only time I'd seen a pile like that on the floor when I've walked in, usually involved my wife finding some bag, and saying "What the hell is all this crap?!"

Bacon, HOW SWEET IT IS, BROTHER!!! Actually, I must say, I'm fortunate that way too...for years I tinkered with the idea of a fly rod, but they aren't cheap on the best of days..finally, after years of searching, I found a nice old Algonquin glass rod (made in Canada even!) at a new and used store for 10 bucks. It needed a bit of fixin', so I patiently rewound the thread around the ferrules, fixed up the reel, etc,etc...it's a great old thing but should be in a museum actually...anyhew, a couple of years ago on my birthday I come in from working in the shop, and there's a fly rod case on the kitchen table and she's smiling telling me how my old rod deserves better treatment, etc,etc..I was thrilled, a nice case for my old rod. Well, there was a brand new rod in that case!! Not only that, but she went researching and found me a brand new 5wt Algonquin fly rod!! Graphite, etc,etc...she had gone to the outfitter down the road here and apparently planned this for a while...it had floating WF line and everything, exactly how I like it. For Christmas last year I ended up with two big tackle boxes stuffed to the lid with fly tying stuff...feathers, scissors, spools, a really good vice, etc,etc,etc...she felt sorry for me with my improvised vise grip tying vise and my homemade wire thread holders...*grin* So there, it does happen!!...and she's taken too.

I have this huge green storage bin in the garage that is currently holding all sorts of tackle and lures (for the giveaways, RapCash store, etc) in it. I know the day is coming that she is going to need a bin for storage (for some crap like 'summer shoes' ) and Im going to have to explain it! And for once, they really arent my lures!

i have the reverse problem, my wife is always hiding my lures from me, she keeps doing this thing called cleaning, and everytime she does it, more and more of my lures are missing. if i ask about it, some usually show back up, but i know some are still missing.
actually, she got me most of the lures for resale. the giants, some i need for my collectoin, the others she got thinking i can use them to make welcome signs like the one on my profile. even though i dont have any one looking for one right now, i guess im going to have to put that in my ebay store now. and the DT's, well after my little fishing trip the other day, she heard me singing the praises of the DT, and figured i needed a few more, maybe get some painted, maybe sell some. either way, i have her trained well, saw a good deal and snapped them up, im proud of her. plus until i know for sure the giants arnt disc., im happy to have a few more on hand. bacon

He's STALKING me!!..yeah, that's it...stalking...I have this web site and now he thinks I'm a rock star or something...I'll tell you what, I have a green bin in the garage that I keep my sweaty hockey stuff in (she'll never go in there now!!!), so I'll just put them in there and we'll forget all about it, ok? I'll call the cops first thing in the morning, ok?"

hi guys.
well, lets say i am somewhere in the middle.
she is complaining about me having too much and buying too many ... she never has, and most probably never will, buy a rapala for me ...
but she has been going (in a short skirt) to the customs office to get out some nice packs with lots of rapala for me without being charged any fee. when i go myself, i usually have to pay; you think wearing a short skirt might help ...?

Bacon... You are a very lucky person! I also have one of those big Rapala lures in a rainbow trout pattern, they're really cool! I think I need a bigger boat and tow cable to use it though!
