yesterday was quite a strange day. the season is changing, and channels are becoming lower.
i went fishing, and after a lot of casts i got this one
not a bad start, with its 37 cm (14.5")
then, a 25 cm rudd arrived
another rudd, i didn't measure this. when you start catching them in that place with spinners, the cold season is arriving.
i saw a louisiana crawfish near there (it's an invasive specie here, and it's quite common)
after a few casts, i got this chub. i measured it, it was 14.5 cm... one of the smaller fishes this year.
the sky turned cloudy and a storm approached. and another rudd hits.
and also an athletic one
i had to take 6 photos to this fish to get a decent one, since he suddenly jumped, and the first 5 photos looked like you can see up here... however in the end i was able to take a nice one
it started raining, but i got 2 more friends
i saw that there was a sunny point not far from there, so i took my bike and rode that couple of kilometers.
i had to wait since it was early to go fishing for wels catfishes. ok, i arranged my tackle in a better way.
i started fishing for them. this time i had 12 lbs line... well, it wasn't very useful. at least i could recover my spinner from snags.
i lost a small one, about 50-60 cm, since it didn't got hooked, then a smaller one (my fault). but in the end i got one. small one, but it's one.
the scene looked like it was a cartoon: i put my landing net down, the fish spits the hook... and, since it's not tired and it's slimy, it starts "walking" on the banks!!! i had to follow him and grab him again before it escapes this way!!! well, photo and measuring. just 49 cm
after a few other casts, i went home.
