i had a free day, and went fishing. i think it's the last time before winter. i started in a ugly way: immediately lost a good spinner, and a broken bycicle lamp... no comment. there were big chubs. those are very, very, very smart... but i managed to catch this one, 41 cm then i lost another spinner... the last one of that type. a rudd and his friends a micro chub and in the middle something a bit more than 30 cm then other small ones i go away, and look for wels catfishes. and got this, 48 cm. then i lost other 2 spinners. i really hate losing baits. especially if i lose them under my feet, or in st*pid/unlucky ways. so i took my bike and retuned home. 200 m from home, i saw this nice friend. it was climbing a net. it's really cute, isn't it? then i arrived home. and my cat was waiting me. i hope i can go fishing soon, but probably i'll have to wait until the next spring.

oh, so your one of them, one of those crazy guys that goes out on 2 inches. i dont hit the ice until there are at least 5 inches, but not that its that big a deal, usually the time it takes to go from iced over to 5 inches is less then 2 weeks, unless theres alot of snow. i wont drive out until i have found atleast 16 inches. i have seen guys go out on less then an inch using two sheets of plywood to crawl out to open water on the river and jig over the edge. i guess its crazy good fishing, but i think its just crazy. good luck perchin on the bay this year, im still hoping to get a laker this year. bacon

Ya its a little hairy when your out there and you can hear the ice cracking underneath you but you almost have the whole lake to yourself.Once there is about 5 in of ice it looks like a small city I agree with you on the driving part if the ice isn't at least 16 inches thick I don't drive out there.
