What is Share-A-Bait?
The Bassholes Share-A-Bait serves many purposes. First and foremost are fun and learning.
The Share-A-Bait program chooses a specific bait. This bait may be purchased by The Bassholes or it may be donated by one of The Bassholes advertisers. After the bait is chosen an announcement stating that sign up for the specific round is posted. Qualifying members of The Bassholes may then sign up for participation. Once sign up concludes, the participants are divided up into teams. Each team will have a team captain.
Once teams are created, the captain of the team will choose to either fish the bait first or send it to the first member in line. That member then takes the bait and fishes it for one week. While they fish it, they photograph all fish they catch with it, with lure in fishes mouth. When their week is up, they package the bait back up, contact the team captain to obtain the address of the next team mate, then mail off the bait to the next in line. They then locate their teams Offical Report thread and post their report and their picture. If they have any problems doing so they need to inform their team captain who will either help them resolve the problem or inform the necessary staff to assist in a resolution.
As each report is posted The Bassholes Staff will be updating the Share-A-Bait tracking map (Guests are not allowed to view links.

)so that everyone can see the path and progress of each teams bait.
Share-A-Bait offer us a unique was to see the effectiveness of a single bait all across our great country. Furthermore it also offers us a great way to learn tricks and tips about baits we may or may not have ever fished as the many participants all exchange their successes, failures and experiences.
Now, I think what WE might do is something similar. And this is open to discussion. I'm thinking of calling it the RapalaNation World Tour, or something corny like that.
Anyway, I send out 3 different Rapala baits to 3 different parts of the world. The member keeps it until they have caught a fish with it, then sends it on to the next member on the list.
I'd be curious to see how many and what kinds of find 3 different Rapalas will catch in different parts of the world
