As you probably know by now regarding the email I sent, we are currently auctioning off a RH Rapala Super Shad Rap, hand signed by the legend himself, Jan Eggers! This was kind of a tough decision to do it this way; on one hand I wrested with the decision to either keep it here on the boards themselves; however - appealing to a much larger audience will most certainly benefit the charity, and of course the children in C.A.S.T. For KidsI am most certainly pulling for and hoping that someone here on the boards has the ways & means to come through and win this; however if no on here does, then we do have some 'alternatives' that we will raffle off seperately here on the boards, and only here. So do not fret my friends.  Now I don't know about you guys, but I was looking for a charity to do this for, this one seemed like a natural fit. It's probably that I'm getting on in years, and the fact that I now have kids of my own...let's just say that it breaks my heart to see kids with disabilities, or ones not as fortunate as my own.. ...so lets hope this thing kicks butt, and hopefully we might be able to garner some new members along the way!

I couldn't agree with you more.No child should have to endure any disiblities.It is truly sad when children have disiblities that prevent them from doing normal everyday activities.Every child should be able to enjoy life like only a child can.

It is a nice surprise to see myself signing lefthanded this special Rapala Super Shad Rap and I hope this action will be succesful. Whenever Rapalanation needs more of such signed Rapala lures for similar events with kids, they can count on me.
Know that I still have hundreds of special Rapala lures, some even 50 years old and prototypes that I tested but that never came into production, and this means I can still make a lot of members happy. For me it is also fun to be a member of this organisation and I promise to make more contributions for the website in the future. Best regards

PS I have just started with a new book about the biggest pikes in the world and the list will have more than 350 pikes over 20 kilo, say 44 lb and it should be ready fall 2010.

Well, I was going to post that the reserve was 200.00... ...however it looks like that has been met ALREADY! That guarantees that at least 150.00 goes to CAST For Kids! ;D And I don't know who 'rapalamanusa' is, but if he isn't a member here, he certainly should be! |

thats good to here as im finding it harder to find new lures,i only collect the cd7, just as well there's loads, i have about 120 different one's so far, if not for the auction i would never of known about rapala nation, and people with the same mad passion to have rapalas of one type or another.

Although I am kind of shocked and surprised no more bids came in, at the very least, I am glad that it did eventually go to one of our very own.
In hindsight maybe I shouldn't have made this auction end on a Friday night, but regardless, that is still over 150.00 that is going directly to C.A.S.T. For Kids!!

Eh, what can you do, the economy is in the toilet. This is one of those very few times no bids came in at the end. Just when you think you have ebay figured out, you don't.

Thanks to Jim's insatiable madness for collecting anything with a RH....
A total of 153.75 has been donated to C.A.S.T. For Kids! Thank you so much!!!
Now if anyone is asking where the rest of it is going...and I believe in being totally honest and up front with everyone here, for the record.
Some of it was going to go to Andre for paying of shipping and the lure, but he refused to take any money from me.
Part of it is going to fees, but I assure you, the remainder is going right back into the site...most likely in the form of more lures to give away, LOL.
Speaking of which I am also selecting ANOTHER winner for May, with my
revised qualifications of 10 posts or more. I probably should have stipulated that earlier...but also I do love hearing back from people when they hear that they've won something, it is a pretty cool feeling. ;D
