I hit one of my usual parks from 3pm til 5:30pm Monday. I moved around to a few different areas of 3 ponds. While casting with a SSR-7 SH in a bay I always have luck at I got a nice hard hit right as I started reeling the lure in. Caught a chubby largemouth around 1 or 1 1/2 pounds. Had no more luck in that bay and kept on moving around that pond with no luck. I hit an inlet at another pond where a brook feeds in. At that spot I've caught largemouths, pickerel, perch, and crappie. I had no luck with the SSR-7 SH and nothing with a JSR-5 P. Later when I got to an area of another pond where I've caught yellow perch I caught a small, thin 7" perch with the SSR-7 SH. I kept on getting what I thought were small perch following the lure. I thought I'd try throwing a bobber out there rigged with a small Smokie Joe minnow on a hook about 9 inches down. I had no luck. For the last 10 minutes I tried casting a SSR-5 SD out there hoping for another perch but had no luck.
