Folks, If you're looking for some great deals on clearance Blue Fox, Storm, Rapala, Salmo, be sure to stop by and visit their clearance items. Without any purchases from RapalaNation, I am afraid that we may lose OverStock as a potential site sponsor So please help me out, and help yourself out at the same time and check out their stuff. Some good deals on Rapalas too, I stocked up just so I can have some extra Rapalas to giveaway on our site Overstock Bait & Tackle

Thanks for the offer Ted, but I won't be making tackle purchases until after Xmas unless it is a very small one!

Thanks for the offer Ted, but I won't be making tackle purchases until after Xmas unless it is a very small one! Alright fair enough - Im shocked that in this day and age where the internet has no 'borders', that they won't ship internationally. Anyways, at this rate, since the only people that have purchased from them are myself, it's doubtful that our site is generating enough sales and leads for it to be worth their while as being a sponsor. We get enough traffic, but not the kind that counts, unfortunately...

We get enough traffic, but not the kind that counts, unfortunately... This is one major problem with US online shops - they don't seem to realize the potential of the international market. They want a minimum of $30 - $40 to send anything outside of the USA, if indeed they cater for the international market at all. Ted, your shop is what we need - it doesn't cost $30 - $40 to send something overseas at all - I know as a recipient of a parcel from you (Ted) that to stick a bunch of lures and other stuff into a small package doesn't cost the earth at all. Ted, keep going with the shop and even consider making special orders for us international forum members - even at a slightly inflated rate (to cover your own costs) it will still be cheaper for us ;D Blessings (and I mean it), Nigel

Thanks guys - I'd be more than willing to be an international 'liason' if folks were willing to order and support sponsors.
Right now I could see where they may be reluctant to commit..I think the home page is getting enough page views, that's for sure. But without some member support (and guest support too) in the form of purchases...well let's face it, there are bigger and better sites out there where they can spend their advertising dollars or pledge merchandise.
Ironically enough its the smaller guys here that have helped me out tremendously so far... so hopefully things will turn.
I did just purchase a slew of Rapalas and other baits for giveaways - just because I'd like to have enough. Maybe not exactly the best way to try to turn a profit on here lol

Hope that wasn't too confusing Nigel P.S. Is there a RapalaNation code or something so that the 'sponser' knows that we are from here?

I'd be more than happy to help you international folks out, as long as its manageable enough. I would just need the PayPal ahead of time, and then I can move forward with ordering for you. Let me know.

Wouldn't it be better for us to order what we need, pay with credit card, have it shipped to your address and for you to send it on to us? To cover your costs we could add a couple of Rapalas to the order or pay you for shipping via PayPal. Is there a special RapalaNation code to use when buying stuff at the 'sponsors'? Nigel

Nigel You're always thinking Nigel, that's what I like about you Actually that's a good idea that I hadn't thought of before. Actually most sites know through Google analytics where the traffic and clickthroughs are coming from, but at the moment we don't have a special group code or anything with any one sponsor, at least not yet. JaxCatTackle, however, does ship internationallyy - and I believe Thomas (from JaxCat) maaye able to help if you mention RapalaNation. Not to mention he really does have really good Rap prices. That reminds me I need to put the link back up for OverStock if anyone needs it.
