Seriously - I'd never had one lure dominate a lake like my MR-9 in Silver does. I tried about 20 different Rapalas today, and the MR-9S is the only one that produced. It didn't start off smoothly though.... I pulled this Shimano reel up from the depths.... Ok, its a start..... I wasn't the only one fishing today... Couple of small ones on the MR-9 Best bass of the day, 19 inches! Its hard to take a pic of yourself and fit the fish in too, lol... And another - Although this 24" pickerel made my day, he was a beast! ;D And another, a little smaller, 20".... After today I would have retired it, but I lost it on a deep stump Small sacrifice back to the lake today, small price to pay...

How about the shimano? Is it useable or repairable? I am sure it is not edible

WTF with the flat sided Rapala? Pulled off the whole line and send the reel to the lake ground? Definitely not a Shomano lover! This comes close to Jan Eggers channel rat from Netherland.

I tossed the Shimano into the trash, along with my DT-Flat The reel was actually worse off looking than shown in the pic, besides we're talking about some economy 3bb type reel here, not worth it. I always seem to trawl junk up from the muck of this late Maybe next time I'll find the rod that was attached to it...
