I hit a local park along the shore Sunday hoping for bluefish. Birds were working the bait with blues but they weren't within casting range. I tried throwing a 2oz Kastmaster, SSP-12 HP, SSP-12 MU, F-18 S, and a few soft plastics all with no luck. Later on I was seeing fish working the bait right along the shore and noticed that they were small stripers. I decided to throw a RNR-7 BN and that was the trick. I caught 7 striped bass ranging from 10" to 17" all on that RNR. On that same RNR I caught 2 taylor bluefish earlier this year.
