Unfortunately I don't have a picture of it, because it happened so fast, but this is what happened:
Me and my friend were fishing on my boat, I was actually using some promo soft bait I got for free at a sportsman show.
I would cast it out, jig it up and down, while retrieving to my boat, and my friend looked down and noticed that a pike was following my bait, and I didn't believe him at first, and THEN as I casted it out again, I looked down to the bait, and saw that a pike was following it, then swam off in the distance.
As the bait was coming out of the water, the pike actually ATTACKED the bait (or tried to, but realized it was out of the water), and then dove back down.
I have never seen anything THAT CLOSE in my life, if you froze that moment, you could literally pet the fish, thats how close he was to the surface, I will never forget it, it was such a site to see.

I've had Muskies do that after the figure-8. One darn near make it into the boat.
