Maybe I can turn this into some sort of competition.... See who can come up with the best looking pattern on a DT-Thug, and then we can put it to a vote... Winner gets 5 Rapala DTs free - sound good? I may need to send out some more invites via email... What do you guys think?  |

I would too, it all comes down to who would have the time to be able to do it.
If I could get these baits out and get a commitment to have something done in a month that may work for most people...

Well the one thing I need to do is order more DT Thugs, first off.
Secondly I need to reach out to a few more people to see who else might want to get involved. I will have to check with Dutch Fork Custom Lures, Joe's Custom Baits, Oscar Bass Baits, and maybe a a couple others...

Ok all, this is mainly directed towards anyone painting baits, but if anyone has any suggestions let me know.
Basically I am going to send each participant two Thugs to enter, and I figure I would give them a month to get done. The baits would get sent back to me, I'll photograph, and then post them for everyone to vote on.
There would be first,2nd, and 3rd place prizes - still to be determined - but most likely a selection of DT lures.

Pictures of all entries will be posted anonymously. Everyone is allowed 3 votes to vote for their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd favorite customs. Hey folks,
Well so far we have 12 Thugs that are in for the lure painting contest, and it's going to pretty damn close if you ask me!
They all look outstanding in their own right - we are still waiting for a few more and once they are all in, I'll post pics and have you folks vote on them...

Definitely!!! With all these talented painters, I think it would be near impossible to choose a favorite. There is no one that you could say is head and shoulders above anyone else. We are just going to have to let the lures do the talking and may the best man win!!
