Tuesday a friend of mine and I hit a cove on a river that was covered with 5 inches of safe ice. Reports of yellow and white perch including some small stripers have been coming from there lately. We started drilling holes and were jigging pretty soon. I stuck with my lucky and trusty W5 GT. Didn't even have to rig it with a spike and it was doing the job for me. After jigging up a few yellow perch ranging from 7 to 10 inches, I drilled a hole and all hell broke lose. Within 30 minutes I jigged up around a dozen yellow perch and a white perch. Later that hole died down so we moved on drilling more holes. All thanx to the W5 GT I caught my first striper through the ice. Total for the day after about 3 1/2 hours of jigging was over 20 yellow perch, 3 white perch, and 3 striped bass.

Nice job - I had to modify the post somewhat because when I clicked on one of the images, it took me to photobucket and I got a very bad virus? - Which doesnt make sense because they are a trusted site - anyway I modified the original thread so it wont happen to anyone else..
