A buddy and I hit a golf course on Thursday that I love to fish. I was there with somebody else on Tuesday which is when I found out what the fish are looking for. All with a 2" Mister Twister Sassy Shad rigged with a 1/8oz jighead I was killing the bluegills and bass. The fish were looking for something small with a very slow retrieve right under the surface. Trick was to have the lure about a foot under the surface and reeling it in very slowly while constantly jerking or twitching it very lightly. Bluegills and bass would follow it ever time. Bluegills were being pretty aggressive. I caught a total of 6 largemouths up to 12" and over 10 bluegills ranging from 6" to a few chubby 8"ers.
