Another treble turned double by pickerel

I didn't get any bass today , but did get a 21'' pickerel.

I got it using an F9 in Yellow Perch. I only have 6lb test on my rods right now so he put up a pretty nice fight. At least I got to hear some drag screaming for a minute. That's one of the best sounds in the world!!

Also caught a giant bluegill that had me thinking I had a bass. I got that on an F9 Bleeding Olive Shiner.

Was only out for about an hour and a half, and didn't lose any lures today(which I have been doing too much of lately) so I guess I'll take it.

Nice pickerel! Pickerel are lots of fun and give a good fight.

Did you keep the walleye? They are very tasty and their cheeks are a delicacy in manitoba.
