Hit one of my usual places Sunday and worked all of the ponds for 5 hours. Started with a SSR-7 SD but had no luck with it and eventually lost it. Switched over to a F-9 V and found out that was the lure the fish were looking for. A technique I stuck with was lightly twitching it on the surface while reeling slowly. Worked all of the ponds and had lots of hits. Caught a 7" yellow perch, 4 dinky pickerel, 7" crappie, 9" largemouth bass, 9" crappie, 8" largemouth bass, and 3 fat largemouths all around a pound and a half. A big disappointment was I casted the F-9 over to a big rock where I kept on seeing lots of big swirls and some splashes. Had a nice fish on. Saw a largemouth over 3 pounds jump high. When he took a second jump he spit it.
Lure of the day that I caught all fish on was a F-9 V.
Technique of the day that made me catch all of the fish was lightly twitching the F-9 on the surface while reeling very slowly.

Not a bad Sunday at all.

I like twitching an F-5 for big smallies, but that technique doesn't usually work around here until mid-summer.

it's always satisfying when you find the right lure for the day
