i am going on holiday to spain soon, where rapalas are readily available (they are hard to find in tackle shops here in the UK). I don't have much money to spend, so i am only planning on getting 2 lures, but i dont know which ones to get. i will definitely be getting a countdown, but i am split between a skitterpop or an original??? i have never done very well on surface lures, so im not sure how effective the skitterpop will be. anyone caught pike on skitterpops? any other suggestions welcome tight lines Tom

I have caught Pike on both the #9 & #12 skitterpops so either one of those would be a good choice.Hope this helps your decision.

thanks a lot, although i dont believe colours are important for surface lures as the fish judt see a silhouette against the sky, have you got any colour recommendations?

Have no pike where I live, but if they act anything like pickerel do, you really can't go wrong with either. Seeing a big old pike smash a skitter pop would sure be a great time though!!!! Good luck and let us know how it goes!!!
