Well, yesterday I got a package I certainly wasn't expecting. After seeing some pics and info of the new Clackin Minnows and Clackin Cranks, on a whim I contacted Rapala and humbly asked if it was possible to 'field test' these lures... So I guess if you never ask, you'll never find out! So here is what was inside: (sorry for the flash on some of these) Rapala 2011 Master Catalog Some killer Terminator Spinnerbaits Trigger X plastics, the Hammer worm I am dying to try! New Sufix braided line Crankin Rap CRR08 in Melon Shad, and Crankin Rap CRR10 in Regal Shad Clackin Rap CNR-9 in RCW (its huge!) and CNR-7 in Hot Steel New sizes Trolls-To Minnow 10 TTM10 and new size Trolls-To Shad TTS10, different and unique diving lip on the TTS10 And the ones I have been dying to see in person.... Clackin Minnows, size CNM-11 in Silver Blue, and CNM-09 in Clown And the Clackin Cranks, CNC-74 in Silver Blue, and CNC-53 in Rusty Crawdad...the 74 is a nice, beefy crank with a solid & strong looking bill that you should be able to throw into anything!

Ted, now that you've got back from NC and settled in a bit, can you post some specs for the Clackin' Minnows -- mostly interested in their weights (grams would be good - save me calculating )

Ted, have you managed to do any testing of the products you received? How is the New Sufix braided line? Better than the old Sufix braid?

Ted, have you managed to do any testing of the products you received? How is the New Sufix braided line? Better than the old Sufix braid? I have done some testing, but not everything yet. I am in the process of trying to do a product review for the Clackin Crank (I love it so far). I have used the spinnerbaits, the TriggerX Hammer Worm & Big Moe, and the Clackin Minnow. The new sizes of the Trolls To & Clackin Raps will most likely end up in the giveaway 'pile' - since technically they aren't 'new' models, and dont want to open those. I dont really use braided line but I am going to give it a try; I am no expert on braids so I do not know how much anyone can put stock in my review of it.

Do they cast good? and did you catch anything on them? When your done with the braid - don't throw it away - I personally know someone that would be able to make good use of it and give a review into the bargain

No luck on the Clackin Minnow yet - the two colors I have (Clown & Silver Blue) dont seem to work too well on my lake. But they cast a mile, I am sure you will love them for that very reason...
