Got quite a few today on all kinds of different rapalas. Biggest came on an F9 purpledescent. Got several on the Fat1 in silver(bass and pickerel). Also caught at least one bass on all of the following: SSR7 baby bass SSR7 bluegill Fat1 firetiger SP clown SPR frog SW bluegill first bass ever on a skitter walk!! Got my skitter trifecta for real this time, no snapper turtles involved!! Also had my first chance to really mess around with a DT thug. Didn't catch anything with it, but I really like the way it was rolling right over underwater logs.

I got back out on a different lake this evening. First got two little guys on an SSR7 Firetiger. Then I switched to my new favorite, the DT FAT1!!! Different lake, same result, bass love that thing!! First cast had a huge blowup on the surface, be he completely missed it. Then I got a few decent ones, the biggest slightly under 2lbs. Right before dark, had one that seemed to be well over 2lbs, but I lost him right next to the boat while trying to grab the net.

I'd been singing the FAT01's praises forever! I got Steve hooked on that lure, and now you as well! Can't beat it for crusing right over that high vegitation in the summertime! I had some really nice bass on it this year, plus it basically doubles as a topwater lure as well. Most bass have nailed it as soon as it makes its obscene splash into the water on the edges of lily pads

Got a few more on the Fat1 today. Plus a pickerel on an XR8 in yellow perch.
Haven't really encountered much lily pads with the fat1 yet, but know of a lake nearby that's filled with them. I think I'll head there soon and see what happens once that fatboy hits the water!!!
