Ok folks, let's hear them! Thinking of pulling something together sometime starting in September - whether it is a fundraiser for CAST for Kids, a fundraiser for our site (we can really use it, believe me) a 50/50 raffle, something. Im sure we can come up with some good prizes, but let's hear some ideas on how we get to that point.  |

How about a chinese auction kinda thing, put up a number of different packages, sell entries, and then let members put them into whichever drawingthey like, maybe a Mystery pack as well, It sounds like allot of work but it might get allot of entries, if I can be any help let me know

maybe we have a competition where a lure is announced every week or month, and maybe people pay to enter a competition whereby a fish has to be caught on that certain lure, and the best fish wins, the winner could then win a prize.

  is it time to do a 50/50 raffle ted, 50% to cast for kids the rest for rapala nation site, winners pay their own postage on items to cut down on your expenses, items for the raffle donated by who ever will donate ? just a thought

Yeah I have to come up with something...  Maybe I need to come up with some sort of promo for the store. Any custom you purchase gives you XX amount of entries for whatever giveaway we are running. The issue is that sponsorships are kind of thin at the moment, but that is a conversation for another time. I'll give it some thought and see what I can come up with - dont forget folks are more than welcome to give me ideas too. I have killed enough brain cells in my 20s and 30s, so I could use the help lol |

I really liked cdj idea of having monthly competitions, or if it became to big of a hassle maybe doing it once every two months. I am not aware of the funds or sponsors generated for this site but I believe we have enough dedicated members here to get donations maybe for a raffle. This could generate some money for this site. If members donated some lures and maybe we got some from sponsors, then nothing would have to come out of pocket for the moderators because that is the way I believe it should be. Then let's say we put up a .pdf file of a ticket so people can download them, fill them out, then mail them to you with the money for them. Then all one of the moderators would have to do is check that the amount of tickets mailed to them matched the number of tickets sent to them. As far as shipping goes, I think if you win a raffle it is not too big of a deal and if it is done this way then the money going to the site would increase. All of the raffle proceeds would go to the website to for you to pick and do whatever with. I don't think this site needs much improvement, it is setup in a good way. This is just an idea that crossed my mind and I thought I would share.

I haven't read all the details of what you guys are working on, but when the time comes to donate, I can put together a nice little pile of Originals... F-3 through F-9 in random colors. 3 dollars a-piece at the Flea Market!  |
