Beautiful fish that one.. javascript:add('%20 %20') So that was that the same fish that took the rapala? How far from the sea were you? fresh on the last tide? The Teifi rose about a meter on friday night, as you know the tides were high this weekend. Lots of fish running, could see them jumping the falls and rolling on the surface.. Fished really hard above and below the falls, covered about 5 miles of river but still no takes, dont know what i'm doing wrong getting paranoid all the time now about which colour lure to use, just really unsure, which i guess does not help if im not confident in the colour. Any advice? javascript:add('%20 %20')

yes im sure it was the same fish, that does not happen often ,we are having a good run at this time for a change, just wish i had more time, even so many anglers dont catch, as for rapala, summer fish = cd-7 clear water - silver, light tea colour- rainbow, heavy tea colour fire minnow, dirty- gfr ,hot mustard or fire tiger ,confidence is everything, dont spin to fast as many make that mistake, back end salmon move up to the 9cm, try not to fish upstream to much as they dont hook to well, and be sure the lure has freedom to move, ie oval splitring or rapala knot. oh yah im about 9 miles from the sea but half mile from the tide.

Thanks for the advice, cant see that i'm really doing much wrong, prehaps going too bright with the lures on occasion. I think i just have too many different colours in my tackle box now, which also confuses matters, need to slim it down a bit. Keep meaning to put photos of my collection up aswell, will get onto it shortly, will defo have some for trade. Cheers

yes i think some lures are to bright , i find the RCL, CLN, SB, are the main one's, i mainly have S, RT, SSH, FMN, HM, GFR and use them in that order from clear water to dark water, please do post your pictures, and trade is good,
