Ha anyone else here seen the new VMC feathered X-rap hooks? I saw them at Gander Mtn. last weekend, and they come in red/white, blue/orange, white/white, and firetiger! You get 2 in a pack, and they are only $3-4, and boy o boy do they look awsome! I cant wait to costumize my firetiger shad rap with one of those firetiger colored x-rap hooks! I have already experimented with feathered hooks on shad raps, when i bought a clown shad rap, and put a red feathered Mustad hook on the back, and a red plain Mustad hook on the belly, and man does it look and work beautifully. I've caught 1 northern pike on it, and 3 bass on it within a few casts on a sunny day in clear water, and i bet that a doctered firetiger shad rap would work just as well. Has anyone else tried this before? If not then you might want to experiment with these new x-rap hooks.

I ran into them a couple weeks ago but I had to stop my spending spree as my new lowrance took a big chunk out of my fun money. I would like to try them on a few lures if the damn ice would just be gone. I walked the river on Sunday for 3 miles just to scratch my itch (the fishing itch  )and fished a few holes I know of but no hard hitters just nibs and I could'nt make the hook up. I better stop before I write a story  |

dont worry, your not the onlly one with fishing fever. I've been down at the river fishing nearly every single day, but still havn't caught anything since January, and those were carp.

Well hell. You guys are fishing every day and I have only been out a couple of times. On the big lake once (two coho) and down by the dam (walleyes). I need to get out more Sorry, I had to dig yas  I think you're all cool with that. Of course tomorrow when I try to log in and can't, I'll know I was mistaken LOL. Hitting the dam tomorrow morning as well. Hopefully the drum leave me alone. If the suckers are spawning, that could get anoying as well. Fun, until you see whatcha got. |
