Looks nice and I will certainly buy one if I come across one (or two). Well, today I got my hands on one (actually, there were about 20 for sale in the store, but I chose just to take this color:) I was curious to know what the action of the glider is, but to be honest, it was a bit disappointing. Just the average glider, with a wobble when it sinks. Sure, it will catch fish, but I already have a lot of jerks in my collection that have somewhat of the same action. So I think mine will retire before it has seen teeth...

I don't think that it will live long enough to see the states, but hey, you never know.

I modified the original post title -
I was going to make a post on this, as usual the Europe colors are much more exciting than the US models, but anyone pick any up yet?
Im definitely thinking of picking up a couple for those larger pickerel lying in wait in the weeds to ambush this sucker...why oh why can't they make them in silver and Gold?

Yeah you are right or the old Perch colour should also work for pike.

Quite a big hit over here in the UK for pike, just the prices we have to pay compared to everyone else! BJA

I think the best color for trolling for giant pike is usign natural colors of whitefish/ciscoe, walleye or match the hatch i donnt like troling with perch patterns cause perch swims in schools

Just the average glider, with a wobble when it sinks. Sure, it will catch fish, but I already have a lot of jerks in my collection that have somewhat of the same action. So I think mine will retire before it has seen teeth... Theres a knack to it, at first when i used mine i got it right straight away, then i lost my 'mojo' (LOL) for a while, but then i got it right again. I find the trick is to leave a lot of slack, then jerk it quickly, but as soon as you feel the line tighten up and 'hit' the lure, bring your rod back straight away to give it slack. Its tricky, but when you get it right it turns almost 180 degrees, almost on the spot, and glides for ages. BTW, mine is in the same colour as yours (banded black), pike love it! P.S Another tip is to use it like a standard walk the dog lure, without letting it glide, this makes a lovely wake on the top, and the lure sort of swerves left and right, and down then up

I bought my first gliding raps few months ago and tested one straight away. Got two pikes in 1 hour and bigger one weighted 4,7kg. I love this lure;)

My Gliding Raps are the cornerstone of my tackle box! Start & end my day casting my tiger colored rap, got 3/4 others as well. Friends rely on them as well.

This is a great lure for enticing strikes from reluctant, cold-water northerns when they need to see it for longer in order to be convinced to put it in thier mouth. You can get it moving a foot to either side while moving only a few inches forward each time. Also, depending on speed, it may be fished at the surface or as deep as several feet because of it's slow sinking.

I only wish they made them a size smaller as well.

Sorry, I had accidentally created duplicates but I can't delete them, only modify them.
