Vampire color

Has anyone noticed the difference in the Vampire color.The one I bought the other day,has a gold body instead of silver. ;

Hi Steve.

i never saw in the V, but i know of this color variation in the SB and CLN.
adding to this the vampire most probably means that for some time and some reason the "silver" plating process resulted in gold-plating.
maybe not a collectible for everybody, but a very interesting variation IMO.

Hello, I did some digging in my CD09 collection, and I did come up with two That could be a
golden Vampire or shinner, I got thirtyfour Differnt ones off a private deal,They were wild colors and all were Rapala Specials, It was one of the best deals for me so far, and the guy lived not to far from me,

well, i would not say i am a pro, but i somehow started collecting rapala a few months ago ...

as we can see from Anthonys nice pictures, the HUSKY 13 definitely has to be in the top ten of collectible rapala.

maybe the TE7 is also there.

the fat raps are another very good candidate. it seems to me, the #7 is more desireable (i.e. expensive) than the #5.
maybe its fair to say, the SFR-7 is on top of the list within the fat raps.

as for colors, we have here quite a few members going for that:
G, RH, OCW, FT1 ... for me its B and SB.

besides that, my favorite size is 7 cm, and it all started for me with the CDJ-7.

so whatever you decide to go for, i think you have some quite nice options, and the SG is not a bad one to start with.

well, IMO, the best deals on ebay right now are some of the MRF's, these had gone crazy a year ago, but now alot of them are going bid free. currently the H-13(old ones) and the SFR's(sone colors) seem to be going for less then they had been just a few years ago. i have always been drawn to hard to find and discontinued raps, i dont have anything in my collection that i can got to any store and buy on the shelf right now, as they get discontinued, i will pick them out of the bargain bin and then add them. another good discontinued series that is still easier to find in mom and pops shops and ebay is the SSR-8.

Well this is the sort of thing you need to figure out on your own, we shouldn't have to tell you...


You should just "know" - like for me it was always my favorites, Fat Raps and Eskos.

But go with a color line you like (which I see you've already done) or concentrate on a couple of model lines, or your favorite ones. Trust me the amount there is out there to collect is overwhelming.

I even threw bacon for a loop, who has probably seen it all, with those 'Husky' pics.

I like the color, i think they will discontinue that color though.
