If anyone has this months IN-fisherman, they show three new lures that will be out for 2010. The first is called a Flat Rap (not to be confused with a Fat Rap), and it is basically a 4 inch flat longcast minnow. The other two are called Tolls to MInnows, and the Trolls To shad. According to this, these things are big ass lures, and can troll down to almost 100 feet IM not sure if these are saltwater lures of what, but I don't fish any lakes that are around 100ft deep. The Trolls to Minnow looks like a giant minnow rap, and the shad is a giant DT. I have no idea what these are until I find some more information.

I bet those troll to minnow/shad pull like a stump out of the ground. Back on my home lake in Iowa we would troll walleyes down to 70-80' late in the fall. I bet these would be better than the 6-8 oz. snap weights we use. Thanks for the post.

The Flat Rap just looks like a skinnier version of the LCM...

100 foot deep would work for Lake Trout. But who wants a fish that is 50% fat lol

Actually, after reading the article, they will reach their intended depth 15-20 feet when using 100 feet of 10 pound mono. They won't reach depths of 100 feet on their own.

I like that Flat Rap. I'm sure I can have a good time with the bass right near or on the surface.

I recently went on Rapala's site and saw the new Crankin Rap. Who knows how well Rapala will do with it especially with them already having the DT Series and GFR.

Shiner is one of my favorite patterns on the Shallow Shad Rap. I have caught tons of bass on it and also my personal best 3 pound chain pickerel.
