I can't say for sure, but the text in the auction is looking verbatim lol. I haven't seen this one at Gander, and I was just there. Of course, I live in the sticks and it might take the pony express a little longer to get em to my store.

After closer examination of the box, I would have to say no. No limited Gander box for one thing, and the clincher is the glue from the pricing sticker that is on the box in the photo. Gander doesn't put tags on their product. They might have to price their stuff in Michigan though.

It is a state by state deal and Michigan is the only state I have found that requires it. Other Ganders could do that, but that is a labor intensive job that could be used elsewhere in the store. Bet you can't tell I have been in retail my entire friggen life lol

I think that these new Glow Colors are just hitting the shelves.... Probably just haven't gotten to your Gander yet.
But I have looked at three Gander Mountains, and I cannot find the SR07 PCHT that the link aboves points to. Where do people find these things?

Well that sucks. I would think my Gander is close enough to Chicago to get the lures fairly fast.
As far as hording lures, I do it as well. I sold enough of those other Gander specials on Ebay to make the ones I am holding and my personal ones free.

Good guess Ted. We still need to find out the Dist. on these puppies. Everybody do some homework. Well I went right to the source and asked the seller directly. I can understand him not revealing his source, but he tell me this: They are def NOT Gander Mountain, but he said he definitely bought them RETAIL. In addition to the RED one, he has another color in YELLOW/BLUE/BLACK chrome, or something he'll be listing any minute. Gents, he selling out of Milwaukee, WI. If he bought them retail and it is exclusive I have no clue where he may have bought them. Shane this is in your neck of the woods...so get on it, lol... Thats all I know for now... |

Well,
The one thing I know about the Milwaukee area, besides good salmon runs is that they get distribution from the Canadian Rapala Reps. This could be a canadian color ala pearl white shad raps and thats why we haven't seen them around. Believe me if these things only show up in Milwaukee then either bodeen or myself will have to show up at the local tackle shops over there and get some. I do know someone in town who deals with the canadians and I will check with him to see what he knows, maybe tonight. I'll keep you informed but this is my best guess so far based on Teds intel.

Yeah so far my google attempts have failed. I'll keep plugging away at it... although....
Now that I think about it, he did just tell me that his last color (that he didnt list yet) just arrived via UPS...which tells me it may NOT be local to WI...so basically he could have gotten it anywhere...

Damn...Ive been killing myself trying to find those damn colors on the internet with no luck whatsoever. If this guy bought them retail somewhere, then I'll be damned if I overpay for them...

Glo raps finally hit my Gander today. I guess I will have to pick some up tomorrow. Depends on what the IRS guy does to me tomorrow. Audited for the first time in my life. I just hope that IRS isn't shorthand for proctology.  |
