I didn't know you were jsrapalas!! I think i may have bought a thing or two from you last year, some special skitter pops or something. Actually should have put 2 and 2 together, considering you have one of the sickest collections in existence here, and jsrapalas always seemed to me to have the best rapala stuff on ebay.

Jason. I was looking at your ebay stuff. I don't know much about collecting yet, which is why I'm hear. I just know what I like, and I generally throw a cool lure into the collection rather than using it.
Anyways, I saw that Rattlin Fat Rap size 7 in Hot Tiger. That's one of the coolest lures I've seen, but what makes it worth $150? Or more specifically, how does somebody come up with a specific price like that?
Too add to those questions, I was wondering if there are any books or guides out there that specifically price rapalas?

Too add to those questions, I was wondering if there are any books or guides out there that specifically price rapalas? For the most part . I base my prices off of past EBay sales of mine . Or watching other auctions etc . To my knowledge , there are no guides for prices . Im not for sure this Rattln Fat Rap will sell for $ 150 . But it is rare . And this is especially true since the box has never been opened . The way I see it . Fat Raps " and Husky's " are the most sought after . If it doesnt sell . Oh well I will either try again right away at a lower price . Or put it away for awhile till I think the market has picked up . I should also say . Another way I work out the prices . Is by how much I have paid for my own lure of the same style . For instance . I just bought another proto type SFR the other day , that was over $ 200 . And I think I got a good deal . Most people would laugh , or shake there head . But im not most people

Hi.
first of all, i think Jasons last post should be moved to ebay central.
i have a very easy price guide, ask 50% of what Jason is asking, and you will ALWAYS sell your rapala. the thing is, sometimes, i think, after selling a rare one, was i offering too low???
another thing is, Jason is not called "Rapala Master Collector" for nothing.
"most people" will think he is crazy paying $200+ for a single rapala; and some people around here think it is the coolest thing in this business if other people think you are crazy ...
best, wolfgang
