Last week I bought this deep diving Fat Rap 7. The colour on this lure looks very strange to me. It's gray mixed with brown. The rear end shows some sign of an orange colour. The lure looks original, not custom painted. Anyone seen this colour before. Thanks, Andre

I bought this lure from E-Bay last week together with some other lures.
I did take a good look at it today, but I still think it is not custom painted, the way the eyes are painted is very Rapala like.
There is some paint missing on the buttom end where you can see some orange paint coming thrue.
I will see if I can make a better picture this weekend.

Well Andre if this colour is not suitable for you, I will be more than glad to save you from troubles and buy it off from you However, this could be a modification of CW colouror a original colour, as someone has already wrote - it looks familliar to me too.

i had a guy ask me a long time ago for a fat rap in that sort of color, siad he had bought one and lost it, wanted another, i told him he was crazy, never seen such a thing. he said that when he bought it, he though the color had said june bug on it, but knew nothing more, looks like this could have been what that was. however it looks kinda like a CW or OCW that has just faded all the way out. jeff

I've seen rapala take a standard pattern and change the base coat or the top coat to make an all together different painted lure. Its possible a small run of the CW/FT based pattern was made with an oil can base and CW stripes. I kind of like the look of it. I wish they would make an oil can colored lure.

He said the color code on it was 'June Bug' or something like that. Looking at the colors on this one, maybe he wasnt crazy after all....
