All my RFR 4 lures have the standard bronze treble hooks on them, except for the SD CSD and BSD lures. They have those other hooks where if it wasn't about 2:30 AM and I just got back from work I would know.
Is this a different country production?
Thank you, Jeff

Jeff, I'm not sure about this. Hooks, Im not sure what (who) hooks rapala used on earlier models. But it's safe to say that when VMC joined into the Rapala group. That vmc hooks would be used. Now, it could be that rapala used up it's old stock of hooks before using vmc's or the newer models may have started with vmc hooks or that the hook style may have changed. If you look at the whole Dives-to series, you'll see some of the different hooks being used.
About the only thing I'm 100% sure of, is that Rapala has some of the sharpest hooks out there (right out of the box) these babys are wicked sharp.

I have noticed on a lot of the RFR 4's (and other RFR's, as well as other Rapala catch of the day lure) that the lures seem, well, cheaper, like they are not bronze bur rather nickel hooks, or almost saltwater hooks, where they are a dull silver/grey color. I've seen this on RFRs as well as CDSRs as well...just my 02
