I was in a pawn shop 2 years ago and they had some tackle for sale.
There were two rapalas and one had the finish on it broken. Behind it was some kind of foil you can peel back. It looked like cigarette pack foil, dimppled.
Also marked on it was Finland I believe.
I gave these to a buddy who collects them.
Any idea what I had my hands on?

Rapala puts a foil under the paint jobs of most of their lure brands. If you take off the clear coat and paint you find this foil layer and indeed it is much like a cigarette pack foil. Just the nuts and bolts of a Rapala.
