I was wondering what a good rod and reel combo for throwing super shad raps and other big baits for muskie and pike would be, and is around $100?

I have a few Abu Garcia 6500 C3's that toss these lures real far. I live right next to the repair shop for Abu so they are cheap for me. New they are like $80.00 I can get them for half of that. These reels are time tested and anyone tossing big baits will tell you that. Watch Ebay or I can hook you up if needed.
As for a rod my personal preference is a rod that will handle at least 2.5 ounces and is 7' at the shortest. Believe me that is the shortest you want to go. This rod should have a fast action tip so you can still feel what's going on. This is just my 2 cents from tossing big a$% lures.

Yeah i've been checking out those c3's for a while, the one i want is llike $75, so that leaves like $40 for a rod..........Any good $40 rods out there p.s. thanks for the quick response.
