Just thought I would throw this out. Hit my favorite lake today and the place was a traffic jam on water. At least where the main breaks are. I said to hell with them, they weren't catching anything anyway. 1400 acre lake, I was determined to find some quiet space.
Found a nice spot dropping from 3 feet to 12 feet, then across a nice 8 foot plateau, then through some more 10 foot deep water. I would guess it was a nice 300 yard run. 5 passes later, I had boated 8 walleye and a smallmouth. They were smaller fish, but I came home with my limit of keepers and not one boat came over to see what I was doing
Never guess what they were hitting on either......
