This is hard...how the hell do I whittle down my 6 Plano boxes of Rapalas down to less than one for my Dad's pond on Sunday?

Then,
you figure out which Rapala lure you're going to use..

and lastly,
Whatever Rapala lure is catching them...

Make sure you have at least 2 of them...

Well the one great thing about his pond is that he rarely fishes it...and I dont think the previous owners did either.

But its and older pond, spring fed, and been there God knows how long. I dont think the previous owners fished it either.

The first time I was there, I was literally tired from catching fish. Average bass was about 2-3 lbs, and a couple of 5-6 pounders in there as well. Man, they smacked just about anything. So Im probably being too anal about what to bring, since everything will prolly work

Well Im back...of course when you carry around a camera in your pocket the fish never bit

Kind of a tough day today, didnt really start fishing until after 11, and the temps topped 95 today in upstate NY.

Got quite a few bass on Berkley Gulp Minnow Worms...man those things smell so bad, its almost unfair, lol.

The Rapala that worked for me today was the XR-10 in Silver...my first 4 casts with it yielded 4 nice bass, nothing crazy, but all over 2-3 lbs

Prolly caught about 15-20, nothing huge, but all in all not a bad day, the kids didnt behave that great today but my wife was good enough to reign them in for me long enough for me to get some decent fishing in.

Next time Im leaving all the ladies at home, and the old man and me are going to sit pondside in a couple Adirondack chairs and get plastered on Polish beers...
