Well, I am back from my trip. It was so awsome. My dad and I caught 30 inch pike right of the dock, and some nice walleye also. When we finally got on the famous Lac suel lake, my eyes were amazed! The scenery was so beautiful! Nothing around mut trees, rocks, and sandy beaches, the beaches we had shore lunches were so clean and the water was so clear, that it made beaches in Florida look like obsolete. I was amazed how canadians show their honor, and thanks to fallen soilders. On Lac Suel lake, there are seven memorial sites all around the lake memorializing the seven soilders from Hudson, Ontario who died in combat during world war two. I didnt get close enough to read the memorials, but I can really see why they honor those men so well, because they protected the beautiful landscape, and gave freedom to outdoorsmen to enjoy their lives out in the wilderness. ........ Okay now to the fishing, we had a 16 ft lund boat, and an indian guide named Garnett, he was one of the most nicest guys i've ever met, you sometimes couldnt understand his accent, but he would make jokes, and made the 8 hour fishing trips really enjoyable. Well on the first day we caught about 30 walleye on jigs with minnows at one spot, then I was pumped up for pike fishing. I fished around some stumps with a x-rap perch jointed shad, and saw a huge muskie following my bait! I couldnt seen to get him interested again though, but i caught a few nice pike with it before i got the lure snagged . After that i used a Northland Bionic Bucktail along the shoreline, and caught a lot of pike. Later during the trip i was using my gold jointed x-rap shad along a windy coastline, and caught a 26 1/2 inch walleye that made my guide really happy (he later ate it). After I caught a 32 1/2 inch pike on a bucktail, I fished for muskie on the last day with a golden shiner super shad rap. I couldn't seem to interest any muskies, but the pike sure loved it. I had a great time, and I plan on going again next summer.
