This time of year fish are slowing down and with the cold front headed east should be tough fishing Thursday. I would try a slow to medium retrieve/troll around 1.5-2mph with slow wobbling large baits(to match the large prey at this time of the year). Probably avoid the jointeds and stick to blue or black baits unless its really overcast and then go to the firetiger. If you want to absolutely boat a fish you might have to go live bait. This time of the year, big bait (suckers, shines) under bobbers behind the boat being dragging with the electric motor in a zig zag patter along the outside weedline can be deadly. All I have. Good luck. Send pics.

Yeah Magnum 18's would be a good bet especially in muted colors.
Good luck.

Well i'm back, but with disapointed results. Fished 15 hours total, and only 1 bass, about a five pounder though... I was really hoping for a musky. I wounder if the cold front turned them off.

I fished in the pacific yesterday and it seemed to be pretty slow also . At least for the game fish any ways . We did get into some huge football field size balls of anchovy and small bait fish . That was fun we were throwing shad raps through them and all the mackeral , Smelt and big herring that were feeding on the chovies , were just going nuts over the shad raps . Nothing huge but pound for pound I think the Mackeral is one of the toughest fish I have ever caught . Even the small 6 - 8 inch one's were peeeling drag out .
That made up for the slow rock fish and salmon fishing .

We had only 3 colors with us . PW CLN and FT . They all worked . I think i could have thrown any color out and caught fish . It was pretty cool .
