Hi everyone-

I was looking through a box of my Grandfather's things and came across this old Shakespeare Sportcast reel. Just wondering if anyone knows any thing about these. Pretty sure it's old as it has "1973" between Shakespeare and Sportcast. This thing is really smooth operating wise for its age. Here are a few pics-

What are the handles made of are they wood or that bakalite stuff .
