Is it me, or does it seem like these lures are never on the store shelves?
God knows we've been Skitter Popped to death on the display racks, but there never seems to be any of the 'Props' around...
Wondering if these are the next collectible...they certainly don't seem to be churning out production on them..just a thought.

I've wondered the same thing for some time now. Not really a high production lure I've used them with only limited success, definately the lesser of the the three skitter's. Could turn collectible in a few years just based on the lower production? Who know's really. Also, I've never seen one of these in a non-US color production color. Has anyone else?

Nope, me neither. Kinda surprised that there hasn't been any special colors made like the Skitter Pops...

Fishing shallow flats in 3' of water casting from a ledge in 20' of choppy water, in middle of the lake, watch out these are dynomite lures. I have had bass knock this lure 3' forward and catch another bass when the SProp hit the water. There is a reknown ledge on lay lake during the summer that makes this lure the best of the three during this 2-3 week window. The shad bunch up in the middle of the lake. It's a sight to see. It's almost like witnessing a catfish farm. The water has to be choppy for the SProp to be effective.....

I think if Rapala was actually worried about selling more skitter props, then they would add more colors, and maybe an update; but as of now it seems to be the least popular Rapala lure still in production. Even if you've checked the record books, or online articles, you never see anything about skitter props.
