I don't know about the other parts of the country, but this is about the worst time of year for fishing around here. The bad part is that it could be January before we get safe ice.
The good news is that shotgun season for deer starts on Saturday. Of course, catch and release just isn't the same!

Should be able to ice fish by x-mas here but I agree this is a pretty big dead time unless you have a heated garage to park your boat in

Over on this side of the island . Some of the best fishing is about to start . If it hasnt already , as I have not had a chance to get out fishing in awhile . Crab season just opend , The big rivers are loaded with salmon . Monster size sturgeon are comeing into the bays and delta . The fresh water lakes are just starting to turn over . And look at me work work work Come around January when your guys fishing gets good , mine will start slowing way down . And fishing options will be very limited . Guess I had better at least get out for a limit of fresh Dungenees Crab . Wish full thinking Jason

Well if you ever make it over here for the slow time of the year in Cali, we'll put some fish on the ice together.

Acctually it a great time of the year in Alabama. Going fishing this week on TDay as well as friday too. They high will be mid sixties.
