Too cold for open water fishing Just fish it like you were on the ice, but use a boat or it will be too cold. Just remember, Tipups do sink LOL

Been out in the boat myself the day after XMAs and looking to go on Saturday. Thats right, fishing in a boat in the mountains near Canada in JANUARY. This weather is unbelievable especially since I bought a Marcum LX-5 this winter. I just hang it over the side of the boat and it has about the same effect as Ice Fishing. Last trip was slow, only one 12" perch. Hoping for more this time. I'll keep you posted if I go.

Around here, the bass get lackjaw during the winter, and thats pretty much the only thing there is to catch.
