i have forgotten to tell you, the "dive-lip" is original rapala of this lure...very strange to build a fake with original part.  Where can I buy lips for lures? ? |

i still wonder if rapala made a body dump. yo zuri did that a few years ago to pay off a hook debt. if you see any amikiri baits around, they are yo zuris is differnt lips and paint. i still am wondering if this is from williamson bait in the uk, there tied in with rapala some what. maybe got a dump of SSR's from rapala and had them painted all up real purdy. or maybe just got the lure parts and built them them selves. like ragot( french company partners with rapala) have seen a couple top water baits from them that are made from fat rap bodies. but those are even painted by rapala before sending to ragot. if you are looking for them, they are the ragot big bass, that one is a fat rap with a prop and no lip. not sure on the other ones. I think 500 is when you hit the Super Shad Rap line  I have seen these fake Rapalas advertised with rattles, so I think they are doing a bit more modification than just painting them up. Maybe they did get a load of lips in. |
