Xrap Shad Confirmed

Well, I finally got a chance to do some fishing with the xrap shad. It is a pretty good all around bait. Spent some time on my new favorite lake and faired good until a front came in and shut me down.

It's a great 1800 acre lake, but the bottom depth is all over the place. I spend more time watching the depth finder than anything else. Has some nice humps and a couple good trolling runs, but the runs are like a road course in NASCAR

They are some good eaters. The perch were smaller than I like to keep, but they wanted to belly up when I turned em loose, so I kept em.


I cropped it down and resized it to 90% and that was like 700K. I figured that would be small enough. If proboards allowed us to use real html, then I could have made it a California sized picture

Watkins Glen is also a road course. Don't like road courses. Has nothing to with anything other than that But it does describe the bottom quite well. If I can, I will post the lake contours....unless the picture is too big LOL!

Does anyone else use these maps? I love how they mark the hot locations. I haven't even used those LOL. I troll the break along perry point all along the eastern edge.

Oh, if I was taking a shot at you for being a Californian, I would want you to know I was taking a shot at you. I would never try to sneak one in on you. Here in the midwest we never try to sneak one in the backdoor.
