im not sure that is a pike, looked more like a musky to me(maybe a tiger). heres a few of my favorited pics. this one is my desktop picture on my computer. they say the one being eaten is 36", hey maybe those giant originals anrt to big to actually use. the one doing the eating is said to be 55in and 56lb. it has been floating on the internet for several years now, so who nows how true it is. but damn, it sure looks pretty real. bacon

Maybe it doesn't work on bmp (bitmap) files? Too big?

I have to agree with bacon on this one.
That definatly looks like a Tiger Muskie doing the eating.

I have seen this video on other websites, and the same conversation always pops up. This video was filmed I think in Ireland, and there are no musky or tiger muskie in Ireland. If you look at the beginning of the video you can see bait fish that are not found in North America (that I know of). Maybe someone else has some more info??

I don't know who filmed this or who put the info on it but that is not a Northern Pike.Unless there is some new Pike that I'am not aware of but Pike have spotted flesh and not striped like this fish.Muskie's on the other hand have stripes. I have a picture of a tiger muskie but can upload it

This happens all the time here!!! Trout reservoirs are the top places to catch 30 and even 40 pounders. Pike just have a constant supply of rainbow trout, and they grow to monstrous sizes. These trout reservoirs are some of the most popular places for pike anglers here.

As for the pike vs muskie thing, well lets just say that we don't have muskies here in England or the UK for that matter, and take it from me, this happens all the time, its a pike.
