hi ,i think anglers get stuck in a rut using the same old faithful lure's , i found a team esko GRT at a store closing sale, i had it real cheap, i was going to be the magpie and stock it in my growing nest of rapala's, but then thought no im going to use it ,as a they float i thought they would be poor to cast but they cast fine , great action like a countdown on steroids, only you can float these under over hanging tree's, i think they will take joint position in my tackle box now, they seem to be great lures for seatrout and salmon but not a single tackle shop seems to have them,

I hear ya Mark. Its like that here as well, you find something that works well by accident and it happens to be the only one in the store.
The team eskos work great for walleye here especially the VLP color.

i know cabelas had them for a short period of time, but i know of only one store that carries them here at all, as an exclusive. dont know what they dont pump up the esko more then they do, could be a great lure for them, kinda like the CDSR's, they have a great place in the tackle box too, but they only ran them for a couple of years and put them on the shelf. sometimes i wonder if they arnt doing this on purpose, like they watch ebay and see this trend of lures that get a cult following and keep the supply low to keep the demand high. it doesnt make a lot of business sence, so i really doubt that is the case, but it almost seems like thats what happens. bacon

The Scheel's stores carry TE and I just saw they had a lot of different colors this year. They told me they get in 1 shipment of them a year and when they are gone you have to wait.

Unfortunately i have never seen a single TE in a store before, but I would sure love to use one sometime, I have heard nothing but good things about them.

I bought my one and only TE on EBay. Use it sparingly, I'm afraid of losing it. Would love to find some in stores. "Scheel's" Is that a chain? Where is that located? Do they sell online?

Thanks "walleye", I see from the looking around the link you attached that they have a store in Appleton. I usually find myself up around the Fond du Lac area a couple of times a year, I'll have to make a special trip and check it out (that way I can save the shipping costs)!

Excuse me for being a dumb-arse, but what is "Team esko", is it a rapala lure, like shad rap or sliver, is it a series, like the bleeding series, or is it something else altogether?

Nice link by "bulldog" for you "Tom". Short answer; the Team Esko is a model of Rapala in a series of colors.

I can't say for sure how long the TE line has been around, but it is the lure that made me start this site.
I stumbled across one one day and went crazy searching for more info all over the internet. It was the first Rapala I had seen that I didn't own.
Eventually the more I dug, the more I realized what lures and colors I did not have. It was through this research that this site was eventually born, I knew I was not alone and there had to be others as addicted to Rapalas as I was...
The Team Esko basically looks like a CD-7 but with a Shallow Shad Rap type lip, in simplests terms.

wow, thanks guys, do these lures work really well then? I had never heard of them before, which is strange for a good lure. Are they expensive and hard to get hold of or are the readily available?

hi guys, ive been kind of busy work and fishing you know how it is, ive only been fishing the team esko a short time, and now the rivers have some flow back i can see how good these lures really are, ive had 5 salmon in the last week on the grt, and so has my freind, never thought the countdown would be 2nd place in my tackle box, never used one for trout or salmon then you had better try one, they really are a countdown on steroids
