I went to our [very] small local bait shop and managed to find some saltwater #6 trebles to replace the ones that had rusted and fallen off the MaxRap13 that was found snagged in underwater rocks. The only trebles that the shop had were Yo-Zuri (Duo) 'Outbarb' ones. I bought them anyway as it was all that there was.
What are folks take on a hook with the barb on the outside instead of on the [regular] inside? Is it harder for the fish to get free? Will the outbarb scratch up the lure more?
Any thoughts folks?

Have you tried to go to Gamakatsu's website? They have a long list of hooks.

I printed out their online catalog, that way I don't have to go online everytime I am looking for something.

Reef Runner lures came with the out barbs and the hooked up very well. I think they are better than Rapala hooks.

i usually remove barbs from all of my hooks, and still it's not easy to lose fishes if the line is enough in tension
