Hey guys, had another question.
If anyone uses the dipsy diver planer board, I need a bit of help, as a soon to be first time user.
I want to purchase the 20ft model, but how much line do I need to release in order for it to dive to 20ft? (Also, does it matter what line im using?)
Thank you very much.
Any other tips on the planer board setup would be great! (leader length etc etc)

Dipsy divers are lot like trolling crank baits. The line out will get you to feet down. The precision trolling bible is a great place to learn the dive curves. I use mine mainly straight behind the boat. To get them to run off to the side you will need to adjust the pull point (take a small phillips screwdriver as many have a set screw to adjust. I use Luhr Jensen brand and they seem to be the top of the line. The 20' model will get you down to 30+ feet with enough line. Hope this helps.
